FAITH

I was born on July 17, 1963, to Roscoe and Eloise Collum in Chicago, IL. I have one older brother and two younger sisters. I graduated in 1981 from Calumet High School, and the same year, in August, I joined the US Army as a vehicle mechanic. In December of 1981, I married my neighborhood sweetheart, Sabrina Jones, and we have been married for over forty-three years and have five children and nine grandchildren.

I came to know Jesus Christ as my savior in 1985 and was called to the preaching ministry in 1987. I was ordained as an elder in the Church of God in Christ in 1993. My first pastorate was in Germany on Heilbronn’s US Army base, and my Army career ended in 1992.

2002, I organized the New Heaven and Earth Church of God in Christ and pastored that church for over twenty years. I received my college education from Liberty University.

From 2014 to 2022, I served as Superintendent of five churches within the First Jurisdiction of Illinois in the Church of God in Christ, Inc. organization. 2007 I was appointed to the Ordination Board of First Jurisdiction of Illinois and served until 2022.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Biblical and Theological studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and earned a Master of Divinity degree in pastoral counseling from Liberty University. In 2024, I earned my Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University with high distinction.

I am retired and working in ministry at Shiloh Ministries C.O.G.I.C. in Georgia, where I teach the church what God has allowed me to learn in my walk with Him.
